As the psalmist in our passage longs for the presence of God, we find lament, but we also find hope in the knowledge of who God is and the fact that He Sent Jesus as Immanuel, God with us! Jesus is our Savior. He is our God. He is our hope now and our future hope as we await the time He comes again. We’ll sing in the darkest night, cause we know that the light will come. Hallelujah!
