Dan DeWitt

Pastor

Dan has served as the senior pastor at FBC Rantoul since March of 2020 – right before the pandemic struck with a vengeance!  Prior to moving to Illinois, Dan served churches in California, Kansas, Missouri and in La Paz, Bolivia.

The thing Dan likes the most about being a pastor is the opportunities he has to help people grow in their faith and commitment to Jesus.  He isn’t so concerned about teaching people the “Baptist way.”  What he really loves is pointing people towards the “Jesus way.”  If you have any questions about who Jesus is and what it means to have faith in and commit your life to Jesus, feel free to get in touch with Dan.  (please give a contact button)

Dan has been married to Linda since 1980 and they have two adult sons who live in the Joplin, MO area.  Linda is from Colorado and influenced Dan to become a Denver Broncos fan.  Dan enjoys all sorts of “outside” activities:  archery, jogging, riding his bicycle, going for long walks, hiking in the mountains (when he can), and riding his motorcycle.  His current ride is a Honda Valkyrie.

Jane Hardin

Secretary

I grew up in Northwestern Illinois. I studied piano performance at Northern Illinois University where I met my husband, Gary, a Rantoul native. We have 3 children and 9 grandchildren.

I began working as a temporary in the FBC office in December of 1994 until someone could be hired full time. Soon after, I was hired permanently as a part time employee which eventually became full time. I also have a passion for playing the piano here each week in worship services/weddings/funerals/church activities and as part of the Praise Team. I enjoy seeing our members and friends as they pass through the church office weekly. I love working at FBC and don’t look at my employment as a job but as a service to Jesus.

Andre Britten

Youth Director

André Britten leads our Journey Youth Ministry.  André loves Jesus and sharing him with young people.  André graduated from Rantoul Township High School (RTHS) in 2005 and was an active participant in our youth ministry. It was an invitation to youth group by his future wife that helped André come to know Jesus Christ and commit his life to following Jesus.  Andre’s Youth Pastor was a great influence on his life and he desires to impact the students he serves in the same way, leading them to a relationship with Jesus where they can find their identity and purpose.  Andre’s passions include his love of sports, which he combines with youth ministry outreach as an assistant football coach with RTHS.  André loves his Dallas Cowboys, Houston Rockets, Chicago Cubs and Illinois Fighting Illini!
