Local Ministries

Our vision as a church is to be a family who are becoming devoted followers of Jesus, and who are helping our neighbors experience the mercy of God.  We attempt to accomplish this vision through local ministries here “at home” as well as global ministries around the world.

OCC
Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry in which “shoeboxes” filled with clothes, toys, etc., are sent to needy children around the world at Christmas time.  It is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. In 2022, FBC Rantoul directly donated 822 shoeboxes to OCC and collected another 398 shoeboxes from churches in the surrounding communities — for a total of 1,220 shoeboxes! These shoeboxes will travel to children around the world to show them the love of God.

Global Ministries

We help support a number of Baptist and “independent” global ministries.  These ministries help people experience God’s mercy all over the world, and we are happy to share as partners in the good work they do.
