Jesus calls out in a jarring moment of seeming abandonment on the cross. What do we do with this? Did the Father forsake the Son? Did sin separate the persons of the Trinity? The simple answer is No. The more complete answer is, sin makes us feel alone and hopeless. Jesus took all of that upon himself and felt the desperation we do. He knows how he feel. He was never forsaken, and neither are we.
