Pastor
I’m a Husband, Father, and Pastor. Blessed to be a part of the FBC Rantoul church family since November 2025. I grew up moving around between military bases all over the country before settling in Danville, IL. I’m a proud graduate of Danville High School and Trinity Christian College, with grad work done at Northern Seminary as well. I’m ordained by the American Baptist Churches and have been fortunate to serve on staff at ABC churches in Danville, Mahomet, Peoria, and East Peoria. I’m dedicated to intentional listening, proclaiming the gospel, community building, non-violence, and reconciliation.
The coolest thing about me, by far, is that I’m husband to Katie and dad to Athum and Lenora. Here are some less cool things about me that I nerd out about – Boardgames, Lord of the Rings, Hiking, C.S. Lewis, Green Bay Packers, Deitrich Bonhoeffer, Naps, The Office, Funny T-shirts, Seattle Mariners, Sushi, Fantasy Football, History, Eugene Peterson, Cubano Sandwiches, Documentaries, Henri Nouwen, Church Camp, Carbonara, Pop Punk, Fighting Ilini Sports, Ultimate Frisbee, Smoking Meat, Beards, and Bluey.
“The most important thing a pastor does is stand in a pulpit every Sunday and say, ‘Let us worship God.’ If that ceases to be the primary thing I do in terms of my energy, my imagination, and the way I structure my life, then I no longer function as a pastor.” – Eugene Peterson
