James 1 ended with the idea that spiritual truth is put into practice. We follow God’s Word and do what it says. In chapter 2, James challenges favoritism and how it contradicts the royal law: love your neighbor as yourself. We are to speak and act as those who will be judged, living with a faith that is seen in what we do. More than a mere acceptance of the truth, our faith produces action.

James 2
