Kenneth McCoy

Interim Pastor

Born and raised in Streator Illinois, Kenneth McCoy is excited about the opportunity to grow in his faith journey. For the past two years he has been the Youth and Family Pastor at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville Illinois. During his time there, he took on many different leadership roles while working to complete his ordination through the AME with the Great Rivers Region. He is excited to see what God has in store for his spiritual journey.

He worked in the public schools as a Behavior Interventionist where he has learned many different tools in deescalating children when in emotional and behavioral distress. He uses his strengths in building relationships as he tends to the congregation and their needs. He has a passion not only for the older generation, but the youth and children as well and wants to bring them together in various events and blended worship styles.

Pastor Kenneth is humble, loving and caring. He brings a unique perspective and has a heart for people. Accompanying Kenneth are his wife Kirsty, their four children (David-9, Aloha-8, Samuel-6, and Jonathan-3), and his mother-in-law. . He plans to bring his energetic personality, his relationship building skills, as well as his passion for the schools. He loves birdwatching, listening to music, and a variety of activities that bring him closer to God and his family.

Fun fact about Pastor Kenneth: he collects stickers.

He can be reached via email at: [email protected] or by phone at the church number 217-892-2667.

Jane Hardin

Secretary

I grew up in Northwestern Illinois. I studied piano performance at Northern Illinois University where I met my husband, Gary, a Rantoul native. We have 3 children and 9 grandchildren.

I began working as a temporary in the FBC office in December of 1994 until someone could be hired full time. Soon after, I was hired permanently as a part time employee which eventually became full time. I also have a passion for playing the piano here each week in worship services/weddings/funerals/church activities and as part of the Praise Team. I enjoy seeing our members and friends as they pass through the church office weekly. I love working at FBC and don’t look at my employment as a job but as a service to Jesus.

Andre Britten

Youth Director

André Britten leads our Journey Youth Ministry.  André loves Jesus and sharing him with young people.  André graduated from Rantoul Township High School (RTHS) in 2005 and was an active participant in our youth ministry. It was an invitation to youth group by his future wife that helped André come to know Jesus Christ and commit his life to following Jesus.  Andre’s Youth Pastor was a great influence on his life and he desires to impact the students he serves in the same way, leading them to a relationship with Jesus where they can find their identity and purpose.  Andre’s passions include his love of sports, which he combines with youth ministry outreach as an assistant football coach with RTHS.  André loves his Dallas Cowboys, Houston Rockets, Chicago Cubs and Illinois Fighting Illini!
